Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Mary-Jane's Almanac (the “Service,” “we,” “us”), including our website, readings, letters, answers, alerts, and any related content. By using the Service, submitting a question, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. For entertainment and reflection only — not advice
Everything provided by the Service — including readings, daily letters, written answers, Enemy-Year checks, Life Path results, compatibility readings, house-number readings, timing guidance, and all other content (collectively, “Readings”) — is provided strictly for entertainment, inspiration, and personal reflection. Readings are based on numerology, astrology, and Chinese-zodiac traditions, which are not science and are not verifiable or predictive of real-world outcomes.
Readings are not — and must never be treated as — financial, investment, legal, medical, psychological, psychiatric, relationship, career, or any other form of professional advice. Never make (or delay) any decision — including decisions about money, purchases, business, contracts, relationships, housing, health, or legal matters — on the basis of a Reading. Always consult a licensed professional for matters that affect your money, health, legal position, or wellbeing.
2. No guarantees; assumption of risk
We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or usefulness of any Reading, or that any outcome, event, or result described in a Reading will or will not occur. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You are solely responsible for your own decisions and actions. Any action you take — or choose not to take — after receiving a Reading is taken entirely at your own risk, and you knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risk.
3. Release and waiver of claims
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge Mary-Jane's Almanac, its owner(s), operators, employees, contractors, writers, and affiliates (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and causes of action of every kind — whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen — arising out of or in any way connected with any Reading or your use of or reliance on the Service, including decisions you make after receiving a Reading. You agree not to sue any Released Party on any claim so released.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Released Parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost savings, lost opportunities, or emotional distress, arising from the Service, even if advised of the possibility. In all events, the total aggregate liability of the Released Parties for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you actually paid to us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your reliance on any Reading, or your breach of these Terms.
6. How Readings are produced
“Mary-Jane” is the persona and voice of the Service. Readings are composed from traditional numerology, astrology, and Chinese-zodiac systems and may be prepared with the assistance of automated and AI-based tools. Readings are personalized from the information you provide; if the information you provide is inaccurate or incomplete, the Reading will reflect that.
7. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older. If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis or thoughts of self-harm, do not use this Service for help — in the U.S., call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or contact a licensed professional immediately.
8. Purchases, delivery, and refunds
Prices are shown at checkout. Single-question answers are delivered by email; priority delivery targets the stated window but delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Memberships renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled; you can cancel anytime from your dashboard, effective at the end of the current billing period. Because Readings are personalized digital goods prepared for you individually, all sales are final once a Reading has been prepared or delivered, except where a refund is required by applicable law or granted at our sole discretion. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
9. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Readings are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute Readings or Service content. All Service content, branding, artwork, and copy are the property of Mary-Jane's Almanac and protected by law. You may not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
10. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Service’s owner is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute will be brought on an individual basis only — you waive any right to participate in a class action — and that any claim must be filed within one (1) year of the event giving rise to it, or be permanently barred, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version; continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
